Paintapp ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use paintapp.org.

Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

• Email address - Used for authentication, password recovery, and important account notifications
• Username - Your chosen display name (optional)
• Password - Stored securely using industry-standard hashing (bcrypt)

Google Sign-In

If you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and basic profile information from Google. We do not receive or store your Google password.

Cloud Storage Connections

If you connect cloud storage services (Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive), we store OAuth tokens to access your files on your behalf. We only access files you explicitly choose to open or save.

Your Files and Images

Images you create in Paintapp are processed entirely in your browser. We do not upload, store, or have access to your artwork unless you explicitly use a cloud storage integration.

How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the service
• To authenticate your account
• To send password reset emails when requested
• To connect to cloud storage services you authorize

Data Storage and Security

• Account data is stored in a secure PostgreSQL database
• Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and cannot be retrieved
• All connections use HTTPS encryption
• OAuth tokens for cloud services are stored securely and can be revoked at any time

Third-Party Services

We integrate with the following services:

• Google AdSense - For displaying advertisements. Google may use cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. See How Google uses data when you use our partners' sites or apps.
• Google - For Google Sign-In and Google Drive integration
• Dropbox - For Dropbox file storage integration
• Microsoft OneDrive - For OneDrive file storage integration
• Vercel - Hosts our application
• Resend - Sends transactional emails (verification, password reset)

Your Rights

You can:

• Access your account information through the Account menu
• Disconnect cloud storage services at any time
• Delete your account and all associated data through Account → Delete Account
• Export your images by saving them locally at any time

Advertising

We use Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google AdSense and its advertising partners may use cookies, web beacons, and IP addresses to collect information and serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Third parties, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to paintapp.org.

You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings or www.aboutads.info.

Cookies

We use a session cookie to keep you logged in. This cookie is essential for the service to function and cannot be disabled while using an account. Third-party advertising partners (including Google) may also place and read cookies on your browser as described in the Advertising section above.

Children's Privacy

Paintapp is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated through the application.
